Is it Chemistry or Chemisty.com?

This weekend I couldn't avoid the commercials for Chemistry.com, the online dating service brought to you by Match.com that's running head to head with the more conservative eHarmony.com and I decided to give it a whirl. After numerous clicks, I learned the site's science is run by Dr. Helene Fisher.

Who is she? According to the site, "She’s a world-renowned biological anthropologist, author and expert in the science of human attraction. She spent the last 3 decades figuring out why love makes us go weak in the knees and causes our hearts to skip a beat. Her research has shown that we are searching for someone to complement us." The survey's are reasonable and I tried to go about them using my instincts rather than my usually Cancerian thought process to over-think the process, although I'm not sure if that's my Cancer side or my Gemini...I'm on the cusp you see...
After taking the survey and engaging a few of their relationship starters, I've found it to be a somewhat fun approach to getting to know your digital counterpart. Their Chemistry Starters are a light mix of easy to answer likes and dislikes, including the ability to scale your responses to questions from high to low as well as simply clicking on "Love it" or "Leave it" (the one I'm partial too submitting...small dogs: leave it, sports cars: love it!).
According to my profile answers, I'm an "Explorer" with secondary characteristics of a "Negotiator," we'll see how it all pans out, but I welcome your findings from the site as well.
According to Chemistry.com, as an Explorer, "You are a highly spontaneous person who always likes to try new things. Novel and unpredictable situations don't bother you; instead you find them challenging and exciting.
You tend to be focused and resourceful and you are able to juggle a lot of projects at the same time; as a result you are sometimes a whirlwind of activity.
You have a firm grip on reality and enjoy living in the present tense. But you have a keen imagination that enables you to lift off from time and space to beremarkably creative.
You are humorous. You are able to laugh at yourself, and you like entertaining others.
You have a deep sense of compassion. You can show genuine insight into the needs of others; you are good at listening and talking; and you express a genuine desire to be helpful.
Your tolerance for others and their beliefs, your lack of prejudice, your ability to compromise and youroccasional antics make you popular with others and a great companion."
Only time will tell if of the 8,000,000 people who've taken the survey's I'll find a match, but it'll be an interesting exercise for sure; statistics say that 1 in 8 marriages today met online and that number will surely only expand, exponentially. According to WikipediaLove is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. In philosophical context, love is a virtue representing all of human kindnesscompassion, and affection. How much of this will be reflected in my search, is yet to be determined.
I'm reading Dr. Wayne Dyer's book "You'll See It When You Believe It," as part of the journey (coincidence perhaps...or not as he writes). According to the book, the book explores new plateaus of self-awareness and show you the direct course of your won destiny tapping into the amazing power that lies within you.
Wish me luck, and let me know your thoughts!
